Delhi was incredible! I heard mixed reviews about the city but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Jamie and I arrived in the afternoon at the airport and decided to catch a cab to the hostel in the main bazaar district. We prepaid for the cab which costs about 360 rupees or roughtly 8 or 9 dollars for a 45 min taxi ride. Such a bargain! But as we were about to get into the cab, we were approached by these two German guys who wanted to share the taxi with us. We obliged since we are always down to save money. We ended up staying at the same hostel together and having a couple beers after checking in, which by the way... took forever cause the Main Bazaar district is madness! So many people and the streets are 5 feet wide. So we go to the top of this restaurant where we meet a couple other backpackers. 2 ladies from Ireland, 2 guys from Harvard law school studying with the supremem court here in Delhi, and a girl from England.

So we are a big group and decide to migrate to a bigger bar down the road and we are lauging and drinking and smoking sheesha, and eating thali. This has got to be one of the greatest things ever! Its a mix plate of indian food and costs about 3 dollars. So delicious! Time got away from us and I became super jet lagged at 9pm so we decided to call it a night. So sad we missed the end of the night because everyone was gonig to a local indian house party down the road but I literally felt sick I was so tired. So we went back to the hostel and crashed on out circular shaped bed. Lol.
The next morning we hired a taxi guy recommended to us from one of the guys the night before. He had to be at least 70 years old with a huge turban and a odd net for his beard that looked as if was cutting off his jugular but was totally kick ass!

He took us to several places around Delhi and New Delhi, which of course are 2 separate cities. We saw a Sikh temple, the Bahai aka Lotus temple, the Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb, the Presidents buidling, the Indian Parliament, and my personal favorite: Akshardham temple.
